How it works
Four steps, and Revenue pays you directly.
You tell us about your last few years and approve one request in myAccount. We do the checking, the forms and the back-and-forth with Revenue.

From first form to money in your account
Here’s exactly what happens, who does what, and when.
-
Step 01
Tell us about you
Fill in our short online form: your name, PPSN (Personal Public Service Number), contact details, and the costs you’ve had, like rent, medical bills, college fees or working from home. Ballpark figures are fine. It takes about five minutes. [CONFIRM]
You- Answer a few questions about your work, costs and family
- Agree our fee in writing before we start
Us- Never ask for your myAccount password
- Flag the credits and reliefs worth checking
-
Step 02
Link us to your Revenue record
We send Revenue a request to act as your tax agent. You approve it in your own myAccount, under MyEnquiries (“Agent-Client Link”). If you don’t use myAccount, you sign Form PAYE A1 instead. This lets us see your record and file on your behalf.
You- Approve the Agent-Client Link in MyEnquiries
- Or sign Form PAYE A1 if you’re not online
Us- Send the link request to Revenue
- Use our own Revenue login, never yours
-
Step 03
We review and claim
We check every year that’s still open (currently 2022–2025), match your costs to the credits and reliefs you qualify for, and file your returns. If a year could show tax owed, we tell you first and don’t file it without your OK.
You- Answer any quick questions we have
- Find a receipt if Revenue asks for one
Us- Review every open year, line by line
- File your returns and deal with Revenue
-
Step 04
Revenue pays you directly
Refunds go straight from Revenue into the bank account on your Revenue record, usually within three to five working days of the Statement of Liability. We then send you our invoice for the fee you agreed at the start. No refund, no fee.
You- Check the bank account on your Revenue record is up to date
- Pay our agreed fee once the refund is confirmed
Us- Send you a plain-English summary of each year
- Invoice only if you get money back
What we need from you
Not much. Most of it you’ll know off the top of your head, and anything you’re unsure of we can find on your Revenue record.
- Your name, date of birth, address, email and mobile
- Your PPSN, so we can send the agent link request
- Your job title and employers since 2022
- Rough yearly figures for rent, medical, college fees and working from home
- For rent: your landlord’s name and address, and the RTB (Residential Tenancies Board) number if you have it
- Your OK on the Agent-Client Link in myAccount
What we’ll never ask for
- Your myAccount or ROS password
- Your original receipts (keep them yourself for six years)
- Any money upfront
Revenue warns people never to give their myAccount or ROS password to an agent. Agents use their own Revenue login and digital certificate. If anyone asks for yours, say no.
How long it takes
From your approval of the agent link, we aim to review your record within [CONFIRM] working days. Once a return is filed, Revenue usually issues a Statement of Liability in about five days, and refunds normally reach your bank three to five working days after that.
Day 0
You approve the link
One click in myAccount under MyEnquiries.
Within [CONFIRM] working days
We review your record
Every open year, every credit and relief. You hear from us before anything is filed.
About 5 days after filing
Statement of Liability
Revenue’s summary for the year shows whether you overpaid.
3–5 working days later
Money in your bank
Paid by Revenue to the account on your Revenue record.
Some claims take longer, for example where Revenue asks for receipts or there are residency questions. We keep you posted either way.
What changed in 2026
Your refund goes straight to you, not to us.
Revenue withdrew the old process that let agents have refunds paid into the agent’s own bank account. Since 31 December 2025, PAYE refunds are paid directly to you.
How the agent link works
- We send Revenue an e-linking request with your details.
- You log in to myAccount and open MyEnquiries.
- You approve the “Agent-Client Link” request.
- Not on myAccount? You sign Form PAYE A1 and we send it in.
What it means for you
- Revenue pays your refund into your own bank account.
- We invoice our agreed fee afterwards. No refund, no fee.
- You can remove us as your agent in myAccount at any time.
- You stay responsible for what’s claimed, so we show you everything first, and we keep the paperwork for six years.
Questions about the process
More answers on our FAQ page.
Will you need my myAccount password?
No, never. Revenue advises against sharing it, and we don’t need it. You approve our agent request inside your own myAccount.
How does my refund get paid?
Revenue pays it straight into the bank account on your Revenue record, or by cheque if there’s no account. Since the start of 2026, refunds can’t be paid to an agent’s account.
When do I pay your fee?
After Revenue confirms your refund, we send you an invoice for the agreed fee. [CONFIRM payment terms]
How long does it take?
We aim to review your record within [CONFIRM] working days of your approval. Revenue typically issues a Statement of Liability about five days after filing and pays within three to five working days.
What if I owe tax instead?
Sometimes a review shows an underpayment, for example from a second job or extra income. We check first and tell you before filing. Revenue usually collects underpayments by reducing your tax credits over up to four years.
What if I change my mind?
You can cancel within 14 days of signing up [CONFIRM], and you can remove us as your agent in myAccount at any time.
Ready when you are.
Five minutes on our form, one click in myAccount, and we check every open year (2022–2025). No refund, no fee.
